Equalities and Diversity

The aim of this review was to examine how equality and diversity issues were being approached with the West Midlands and the extent to which regional partners are working together.

Evidence was taken between February and November 2004 including workshops and formal sessions with partners. Four pieces of independent research were commissioned to support the review and to inform and contribute to future regional discussions.

Fifteen recommendations were made for regional partners. These were intended to provide a framework for future action and are therefore generic rather than addressing individual sectors or themes.

The final report was endorsed by the Regional Assembly on Wednesday 18 January 2006.

Further information on progress made in delivering these recommendations follow the 'Equalities and Diversity' link on the menu on the left side of the screen.
