Environment Topic Group

The role of the Environment Topic Group is to develop and promote closer cross-border working and collaboration specific to the environment in order to realise the aims of the MoU and to consider Environmental Policy developments across the border area, and the potential impacts upon people, places, businesses, habitats and species

Differing administrative regimes and different approaches to issues can cause difficulties for communities, for land management, for wildlife and habitats and for planning and economic activity. Policies and services are typically developed to apply within administrative boundaries, rather than with reference to whole communities or landscape-scale connectivity.

For more details, notes of meetings, etc. please contact the secretariat for the Group: Lorna Rogers, Natural England: lorna.rogers@naturalengland.org.uk
