Spatial Options

The Spatial Options were out for consultation between 8th January 2007 and 5th March 2007.

Latest News - Spatial Options Consultation Report

The West Midlands Regional Assembly would like to say 'Thank you' to everyone who submitted consultation responses to the Spatial Options. Overall we received some 1300 responses. The consultation responses helped us shape the development of a 'Preferred Option' which was submitted to Government in December 2007. The responses were analysed by independent consultants and their final report can be viewed below.

The report represents the consultants' independent review and analysis of the consultation responses to the Spatial Options document. Every effort has been made to verify and check the contents of the report including all figures and tables. However the West Midlands Regional Assembly can not accept any responsibility for misrepresentations, omissions, errors or inaccuracies.

The West Midlands Regional Assembly recognises the challenges and limitations involved in the preparation of the report which is partly due to the overwhelming response to the Spatial Options consultation. Readers are strongly advised to read the main report in conjunction with the Matrices of Responses which provide more detail about the consultation responses. In addition, the original responses are available for inspection at the Assembly Offices.

In developing the Preferred Option, the West Midlands Regional Assembly took due account of all consultation responses.

You can view the consultation report and appendix files below:
