The Project Plan was revised in light of all the comments received during the consultation period and additional guidance published by the Government. Here is the Draft Project Plan and the summary of consultation changes.
Under the provisions of the Planning and compulsory Purchase Act, the Regional Planning Body (RPB) may seek the advice of the Strategic Planning Authorities (known as the Section 4 (4) Authorities).
Covering letter to Strategic Authorities (10th February 2006)Section 4 (4) Authorities and Brief (10th February 2006)Technical Appendices & Additional Technical Tables (10th February 2006)Amendment of 4 (4) Brief - Letter to Strategic Authorities (30th March 2006)
The brief was developed with the RSS Policy Leads and sets out the topic areas the RPB was seeking sub regional advice from the Strategic Authorities on. The responses to this brief were used by the RPB, working through the RSS Policy Leads and RSS Task Group, to develop the Spatial Options for Phase Two of the RSS Revision.
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 gave a new role for Strategic Authorities. The role involves giving advice to the Regional Planning Body (RPB) to help do its work and carry out any future Revision of the RSS. In February 2006 the RPB sent out a Brief to the Strategic Authorities asking for their advice within a twelve week period.
The advice below from the Strategic Authorities was analysed by the RPB and fed into the work of developing the Options.
