The West Midlands Regional Assembly is involved in several aspects of work, which have a bearing upon how Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople are accomodated in the West Midlands Region.
Strategic Planning for future pitch provision:
RSS Revision Phase 3:
Since late 2007, the West Midlands Regional Planning has been asked by Government to review existing Regional Planning policy for the provision of Gypsy & Traveller sites and develop Planning policy for the provision of new pitches for Travelling Showpeople. This will be taken forward as part of the RSS Revision Phase 3 process
In undertaking the review, several pieces of research have been completed and are available for download:
